Right now, my main collection tank and vacuum are about 300' from my sugarhouse, and that vacuum is not quiet.

Planning on changing things up this year and piping the sap directly to the sugarhouse. How do you guys deal with noise? Anybody put their pump in an insulated room to cut down on noise?

What do you have for a muffler on it?
I'd be careful of putting it in an insulated room as far as heat build up. as long as it didn't get hot inside it would be ok.
Another option is leave the vac pump where it is and pipe the vac to your sugarhouse. Or if your muffler isn't that big get a bigger one

I have a 7.5 horse Atlantic fluid liquid ring in a 6x6 shed. The exhaust comes out through the roof and at night time you can hear the exhaust 1/4 to a 1/2 mile away. I feel bad because there are 2 houses within 100 yards on both sides of it. Can i put anything at the end of the pvc pipe to muffle the sound?

You should be able to put on a muffler. as long as it does not restrict the air flow. I have them on my vac pumps however I don't have a liquid ring but that shouldn't matter.
It won't silence it but it will certainly quiet it down some

Any concern with putting the liquid ring in an RO room? It's already heated and insulated for sound.
