Does anyone know the grade, gauge, and finish of the typical roundbottom tank? I'm looking to have a few made for me.

I'd say round bottom tank would be around 16 or 18ga. But it would really depend on the amount of supports. The thicker the ga the less supports you would need. So I think you need to know how a tank is going to be supported to decide how thick the ga. will need to be.
I'd go and look at one somewhere to see if you can mic. the thickness anywhere and measure the support system
