Anybody ever use one of these membranes? I have an 8X40 in a 600gph unit, but can only get 400-450 gph even after professional cleaning. I understand these are a slower flowing membrane, but won't pass sugar. Just wondering about others' experience with these.
Thanks
Tim

I have never used these, but you have to remember that flow rates are based on a fluid temp much higher than the temp of your sap. This reduces the the amount of flow.

When I was playing with the General Electric Merlin ROs I found a spec sheet and it showed the flow rates at 40 degrees was only about 1/3 of the 70 degree rating. I guess that would vary a bit from each manufacturer or model but it gives you some background

TIm,
I have the same machine as you and get about the same flow rates. Fluid Systems are slow. We added a membrane this year and may contemplate swapping that mambrane if it does not keep up.

Craig, so which membrane are you putting in the second post?

I'm not sure what the post we bought has in it right now, it is getting picked up as we speak. I will probably keep what is in there for this year anyway.
