Just curious... after you hot pack the plastic jugs does the seal stay intact if you put them in the freezer or store them in the sugarhouse in the winter?

We have never had a seal problem with the Bacon Jug, We leave most of our jugged syrup in the saphouse, never put any in the freezer so not sure about that but I would dought there would be a problem.

excellent thanks. right now I have stuff stored in the basement because its cooler down there. once I start to use the wood stove I wanna move all the jugs back out to sugarhouse. I really don't have too much syrup left. sold almost everything just a few gallons of each grade except light.

The seal should be fine but even if it were not, storing the syrup at cold temps you wont' have a problem. So as long as it is below refrigeration temps around 45 it would be fine
