sap purchase ?

have a question . I purchase sap but my pay scale is delivered to the sugarhouse was wondering if anyone has a pay scale for picking it up at the owners bush?

I pick up one producers sap. I pay the delivered price minus what I figure the cost of the trip is to pick it up. I don't go on a per gallon basis as the cost of the trip is about the same regardless of the sap volume.

I suppose you could pay the same rate as if it were delivered and then subtract the cost that you figgure it cost you to go get it. If you really want the sap then I'd charge just enough to cover your cost.
Since the prices given(maple syrup digest) are for delivered then it would be difficult to have a chart for the producer to go get it. It would vary for each location depending on how many gallons and the distance

the distance is only about 8 miles and right around 1000 to 1500 a run im thinking about 5 cents a gallon transport charge that would cover for the not so good runs.
