They just discovered 6 infested trees right next to the Arnold Arboretum. They already removed the trees this morning, but it's pretty frightening that the infestation jumped so far, so fast. How did that happen? This is a scary bug.

That's really close to the Arnold Arboretum. How do they know that the little beasts haven't crossed the road?

they have been out searching since that happened!!! they quarenteen off I think 1 square mile or something and have been searching. having the alb in there would be an aweful loss!!! beautiful trees in there.

it didn't. those have probably been there for quite some time, and were only recently discovered. they primarily move long distances via people, not via flying. there's probably more out there, including in nh and vt.:(
