From the other posts about Patrick its not his quality or products that are the problem or price its his dilivery time. With 5 available will it ship after payment is made. I like the looks of the pan and as a serious begginer pan I would do it. My only concern is what a fill float box will cost you.

Where would you get a fill float box? And get the float.
Thanks Brian

He could make you both and build them right onto the pan. Be best to have him do it and pay the extra up front if you want a float box. Float box is nice to have, but not really neccessary on that size setup. Once you figure out how fast your rig will boil, you can adjust the valve on the feeding line to the right amount of incoming sap and keep it very close. Gate valve would work the best for regulating the float as it can adjust it in such small increments.

I ran a flat pan that boiled off 50 gph after it got hot this way for a long time and never had a problem.

I also liked the looks of the setup and I spoke to Patrick. He said 250.00 for the float box and leveler.
