i was thinking of putting a belt driven oil pump and pumping my oil out of my sp22 pump head threw a oiler cooler and back to pump anyone have any idea on how to hook lines to vac pump oil if it is a good idea

why I thought those things were bullet proof. I don't know if that would work? Could you run it thought the head? could you drill and tap the bottom oil tank? or tie in from the drain, sorta like a dry oil sump in a racing engine. I guess it might work but you need a good tight pressurized system, wouldn't you? just kinda thinking out loud here!!!

Why not let vacuum do the work for you? Let the vac pull the oil from the reserve tank thru a oil cooler and back into the pump seems like a better way to go. The amount of vacuume that is required to move the oil when its warm or hot is very small so Keep it simple. Go to your truck scrap yard and look around for a nice big trans cooler. Even a small radiator will work. Clean it out good and its also a nice size for oil storage.
