I used this drill last season and got 210 sugar maple tree taps per battery charge. I bought it at Lowes and got 2 more spare batteries from Amazon for a total of 4 batteries. I tapped 1 1/2 inches deep with 5/16" taps for vacuum. I can recommend it.

I have been using same drill as Jerry for several years and was getting 200+ taps per battery, except my batteries wern't lithium. It is nice and compact and very easy to handle.

Ni-Cad batteries actually are able to handle cold temperatures better than Lithium batteries. Both will work reasonably well though.

Cold Lithium batteries do not charge well.
