Wondering how many of you had problems with Leader's end it rings. While pulling taps we discovered that many of these were defective. No passage through them to allow vacuum or sap flow.

There are end of line rings that are solid...no hole. Did you end up with those?

No, these are the standard end it rings that sap is supposed to go through

Were they solid or just a flashing blocking the flow?

Killington Maple...these end it rings are Leader? Are they double-barbed L-shaped with the eyelet and stub to hang spout?

Farmall h,
Yes, those are the ones. Some are blocked internally.

I still found leader spiles with pin holes in my woods this year. I put them in 5 years ago and thought I had them all. Personally I stay away from leader fittings. Their quality assurance control is lacking. I recommend cdl or lappierre, never had a problem with their stuff.

I know a guy that had that problem with pinholes in his spouts. It was almost imposible to find vacuum leaks so he just trashed all of them and went with something different.I think leaders tee's are definately the best though but that is just about it.
