After being out of sugaring for years, have decided to get back in in 2011. The time of year works for me, as I am a self employed landscaper, + I generally have 1-2 part time employees during the year, & February & March are generaly open, other than snow plowing. I have purchased a wood fired used leader 3' x 10 drop flue at a great price, other than I will need new pans. One quote I have received with 3' x 6' flue pan, 3' x 4' syrup pan, with all fittings, valves, & float box, is around $5k. This is from Phaneuf, & from what I can see, does top work. I have no issue with the expenditure, would like some feedback from anyone that has used any of his equipment. I only intend to put in 300-400 taps this comming year, although I have options on many more. Thanks.......John

After a search, I now have some concerns. Appears shipping has been an issue, but quality not so much? I may have to compare pricing & get more quotes....John

Look at CDL, they seem to do top work and I think delivery is more predictable.

I did get an estimate from him. 7k. Looks like quality work, no question there. I'm not really price shopping, I know you get what you pay for. I wonder if it would make sense to have my tins gone thru & repaired. Does D & G or Leader handle pan repairs?

Leader has repaired my pans, but they were made by them. Not sure if they would work on tin.
