Does anybody know where I can get my membranes cleaned. If so do you recall a price. I can't get my machine to work under 450 pounds. It's time they were professionally cleaned.

Lapierre and CDL clean them, I am not sure about Leader. The last I knew I think it was a $125.00

What process do they go through to professionally clean membranes?

Lapierre gets $175 for cleaning---They are put on to the machine and washed for an extremely long time

They are also checked for flow rates and whether they are passing sugar and other minerals.

Is that price for an 8inch or 4 inch membrane. I have 8 inch membranes.

I was told that a professional clean is just a series of alternating acid then alkaline baths until the layers of organic material (removed by alkaline baths ) and mineral deposits ( acid baths ) have all been removed. Sometimes this can take 12 - 15 cycles depending on how much crude you didn't wash off when you should have.

The flow rates are the indicators, then they do a sugar passage test and give you the bad news (sometimes good )
