got my pans all ready to be put away should i put anything on my english tin flue pan to keep it from rusting

When I used to have tin pans I didn't do anything to them. In time they will rust. I wonder if there is a water soluble coating you could put on the pan.
Maybe a vegetable oil but that might become rancid over the summer

I think the best thing is keep it out of the weather. Mine didnt rust as long as it was coverd but no wrapped up tight. Wisconsin summers near the lake didnt cause rusting. I think if you put something on that will soak into the deposits will be tough to get out if it sets all year.

Unless the coating on the tin is coming off in place they should never rust.

I dried, but never cleaned my english tine until just before the next season. Dry sap will protect english tin.

I have heard that but I still don't know how it does. Sap is very acidity.

doesn't oxidize, just eats through.
