antimicrobial spiles have been in since feb., and those taps ran as hard as taps I reamed last sunday. nonreamed taps are kaput. no breakage or stuck ball issues either. moved a vacuum pump to woods across the street with the anti microbial spiles. 70 taps= 100 gals sap. not bad for taps in almost two months. just wish I had put in more!

went to wash one of my sugarbushes with antimicrobial spouts this morning, after it warmed up from 27 degrees. trees were tapped in feb, leaves are coming out, and some sap was still trickling out of the mainline. tubing had much less gunk in it than other sugarbushes I have washed this week also.
