Clear sap bags vs. blue bags

Ok. I use the clear sap bags. Would like to know if there is any good reason for me to have a need to switch to the blue colored bags that I see everyone using. Is it just so they are easier to see? Thanks Harold

I've not seen the clear bags but they must be out there, blue is about all I've seen for sap.

Don't know for sure but the blue may keep the sap a bit cooler. I would imagine any kind of shading in color is better than direct sun light and heat build up.

That being said, if they are working for you, stay with it, or try some blue next to some clear next year and see how the sap holds up. Let us bagger types know eh?

The clear keep the sap cooler, the blue draws more heat. If you have a north woods then the blue is ok, if you get alot of sun, the clear will help keep it cooler. I use only the clear bags.

some around here are using wine bags......anyone else use these???
