I saw a program recently(I think it was on the Discovery channel) about the nectarine orchards in Cal.. It showed how they put down sheets of mylar on the ground to reflect the sunlight back into the canopy giving the fruit a more even ripened color and increasing the sugar content. Hmmmmmm...
