What a year, I don't think I have heard anyone who had decent production. I'd be interested in everyone's experience.

I made 5.2 gallons grade A medium-dark. I tapped 151 trees, but only had them in for the last 3 weeks - tapped to late.

Last year I made about 4x more in about twice the time.

I'd say production this year was about half of last...

Curious - did the folks on vacuum see the same result as folks on gravity?

I made 7 gallons of unknown grade on about 110 taps. 60 or so buckets and another 50 or so on gravity (first time w/tubing) but like you, I tapped too late and only had about two and a half weeks of full production.

I checked out another sugar maker's operation and hope to employ vacuum next year if things go well. I was a little bummed at first but still had fun in my second year.

we made roughly 5 gals. i tap about 90 on buckets/gravity and my cousin has about 150 on vac. we're stuck tapping almost all reds as thats what we have at our familys farm. his 150 on vac did ok they have done far better in previous years. my taps were slim to poor this year, we really only had about 1 really good run. we tapped around feb 20. and waited for about 2 weeks b4 getting enough sap to even fire up the 2x6. hopefully next year will bring some better sugarin weather.

made 35 gal off 480 taps, 300 were on vac, but didnt get vac working till after the first week or so. but still vac helped alot this year i think! i have only maybe 1/4 of my trees that are sugarmaples, so i dont expect to be getting great per tap syrup figures anyhow, but hope for better weather next year

4.75 gallons from 50 taps, lost at least another .5 to the floor due to boil over while finishing, I know i am a dope never leave the finisher! Never had a sap bucket overflow this year made more last year on 20 taps.

I boiled the last of the stuff in the evaporator, today. 340 taps on vacuum and 104 on gravity. Total for the season: 101 gallons though the last 5 are only good for cooking syrup. About 7700 gallons of sap. Sugar 2% on first run and then between 1.8 and 1.3 for the rest of the season. Sap was never clear and lots of moths and March Flies.
