Pulled taps Friday night. Last boil yesterday. Finished it tonight. My best syrup ever. Glad to learn so much here. It's like maple school. Hope you all have the best season you can.
Here's a shot of our last batch for this year. Took almost the whole batch to fill the hydrometer. Little on the tick side, but we like that.
Thanks to Lenore Usher of Michigan who's selling her equipment here, she gave us a good deal on the hydrometer and cup and threw in a cone filter besides. Syrup came out much better than with just a thermometer and craft felt filter.
