Help is it over?

What the luck! I think it is over for me already. My silver maples are budding out already! Just like last year this darn warm weather buds out my trees then we get perfect sapping weather. It is going to get perfect this weekend and then next week, but I don't think my trees will last. Had cloudy sap today!:cry:

Silvers like to bud out early just to mess with sugarmakers.... Don't believe them until you notice the sap starting to taste bad.

It mite be over for me as well. Taped 15 new trees this year and didnt even get a good run out of them (soft maple on the river botten north of hortonville).

Don't pull your taps yet.What you see on the silvers are not buds there flowers,mine are doing the same thing and I just started tapping them yesterday.They flower first and then they bud,so there's still time.
