Stack Cap

The other night I noticed that my stack cap was holding hot orange glowing embers. It appears that the force of the draft was holding them tight to the cap until they cool enough to drop off and blow away. Should I have a cap that swings wide open and would that increase the draft some more?

I dotn have a cap, and the glowing embers blow out and even with 25 feet of stack some fall to the ground. Im concerned about starting a grass fire
