Vacuum pump?

New at vacuum. Will a Thomas pump, 3.5cfm 29"Hg work, and how many taps if it will? I'm having a hard time figguring out these vaccum set ups.

Gar Its a piece of cake. Are you talking the duel head pumps that come from oxegen generators? They will work for maybe 50 taps on a tight system. I have tried alot of crazy ways to get vacuum and collect it so dont get turned off. I have sucked in 2 tanks in the prosess and gone from a 1/4 hp gast vane pump to the big dairy pump ( hp gas engine with flood oil. You dont need to spend $1000 to get started.
