Dough I think I screwd up

For some unknown reason I used a 1/2 inch bit instead of a 7/16. The taps don't seem to be leaking but I also don't seem to be getting much sap did I plug the holes, or am I just paranoid and the sap just isn't flowing well yet?

A 1/2 inch hole should give you more sap, as long as it doesn't leak around the tap.

My colder trees haven't really kicked in and I am in New Hampshire.

Check the adds and try and find a bunch of the old half inch taps. Just how far into the tree do the taps sink before they tighten up.
