I have an evaporator that is 2 1/2"x11", the motor run 1725 rpms with a 1 1/2" pulley, the fan has a 11"pulley on it
The fan is a squirrel case fan.
Is the fan running fast enough?

Mike....your blower is turning ar 235 RPM's,seems a little slow. Most blower's will have an adjustable threaded type 3" driven pulley.Yours sounds like it is the fixed type. If you can, measure the diameter and length of the squirrel cage and give me the motor HP. From there i can caculate what size pulley you should be using on the motor.

If you really want a boil, I once hooked a leaf blower up to where my squirell cage is. It boiled crazy, only problew was what I thought was an airtight arch turned out to be only semi-airtight. Ashes everywhere.
Dont know if you dont try-right

Thank you Rich. The evaporator is only 8' long not 11', the pulley is a fix type , the squirrel cage fan is 12x12" and the HP is 1/3.

Mike.....Toss an adjustable 3.25" single groove pulley on the motor and you'll be turning 570 or so. The advantage of the adjustable pulley is that when you check the motor running amperage,if it's high or low ,a turn in or out will adjust the blower and motor to syncronize amperage and speed. If you can't find one locally let me know and i'll ship one up your way.
