Warm during the day is OK, just make sure any sap that hasn't been boiled is kept cold. The important thing is freezing temps at night to create the pressure that makes the sap flow the next day when the twigs and branches thaw out. Without a freeze the sap will stop flowing but can start again after the next freeze.
Nothing we can do about it, just like farming, we are at the mercy of the weather. And you know what they say about the weather? "Everyone talks about it and no one does anything about it."
