Taps on pipe are all in,approx 700. One of my brothers is doing a count so we know for sure. We added an extension to a 3/4 line this year, gained 47 taps. Installed a larger blower (450 cfm)for forced draft, installed it outside under the shed roof & ran pipe to evaporator. Never had much snow all winter & hardly any frost in ground, not expecting a very good year, will get what we can. My father turned 90 in Feb. 9th, he's still involved, washes the majority of the bottles & filters, and rages that he can't do more to help. He makes sure we hang a few cans for old time sake.

Same kind of weather over here also. Snows almost gone and not much frost either. We are weeks ahead with the weather except last night was a bit chilly. If it warms up nice I am going to be busy today.

Our approx 700 was actually exactly 850, we didn't think we had that many! The last 2 days have been tremendous, all storage is full & can't boil enough to stay ahead. We boiled about 18 hours today & hope tomorrow sap slows down some. I'm afraid it's all going to come at once & then be done quick.

Happy BD to your Dad,
Who did you get to build your pan? I have 2 front pans that i want to see if some one can put new bottoms in. I think i'm close to being done here got 17000 plus lbs or 40 barrels so it's better than average.
