i bought 2 stainless vessels off ebay and 2 nf270's from Atlantic ro was wondering what direction the membranes go in the tubes on one is a seal the other dose not

The end with the seal goes at the end of the vessel where the raw sap goes into the vessel.

either way works fine, usually place the seal so it goes into the housing last, much easier, otherwise it doesn't matter, that seal only needs to hold the membrane diff pressure, which is under 10 lbs usually if you're within the flow guidelines.
