Wow, What a run we got yesterday! I gathered 5300gal off of 4700 taps and we made 120 gals of syrup! At 9:00 am my vaccum relaser was dumping once a min, and it kept it up all day. Anybody eles have a good day yesterday?

it's a little better today than yesterday, we'll see how the day progresses, still have taps to put in and more neighbors to talk to for trees.

Good run and still going! I'm at 300+ gallons as of 7am this morning (remember, I don't have vacuum). Probably end up with 400+ before the day is up.

Better boil, or it will freeze after looking at the forcast. Wow, another deep freeze!

P.S. Also, it sounds crazy, but one of my silver maples is already starting to bud! Don't know how you guys do it if you tap all soft maples.

Probably have anywhere from 800 to 1200+ gallons from yesterday and today. I haven't collected yet, but talked to my dad and from the what he was telling me yesterday afternoon, it was going to be around 2 gallon per tap or more yesterday. :D

Might not boil any until Friday as it is going to get cold tonight and stay that way until Sun. Might try to boil tommorrow and Thurs, but will wait and see what is happening with work schedule and how much sap I have. :D

Feeling really bad today, so I don't have the energy to boil this evening, just collect. :(

Wow its been above freezing here in nw pa for over 24 hours and up to 50 here at noon today. The trees just wont wake up!!! I have just a few ounces in each bucket. Its supposed to be back into the teens by daylight and no temps above freezing for the next 10 days.

Good run today.We gathered 12-1300 gallons from 460 buckets.Just came up from the sugarhouse and the computer was left on so I thought I would check in.Got about 550 gallons to boil in tomorrow.

Collected 110 gal off 130+ buckets and was still running after dark when the rain came down hard. Will need to collect again tomorrow , probably Ice cubes.

Glad to hear that you boy's are getting a good run!!! Hope the sap GODS smile on us northern boys real soon!
