I have a gilles bernard releaser, it's a horizontal barrel type and large (rated for 6000 taps). It's leaking vacuum at the slip plate that moves back and fourth when it dumps. I picked up the repalcement part (a small white piece of plastic with a couople of screws) that I think will fix it. Anyone ever done this? Looks difficult so I'm looking for any helpful info. I'm getting 26" when I isolate the vacuum machine and only 20" when I isolate the releaser so it has to get fixed soon. Just wondering also if anyone knows if Leader will send anyone out to fix it?

that releaser is not going to like 26 inches not made for it. i would tone your vac to 24 inches after you get it fixed. you need an electric releaser to go that high vac

Thanks for the tip, I had no idea there would be a problem above 24", that's easy to adjust on the vacuum pump. I just hope the slip plate repair isn't too complicated. I called Leader to see if they could send someone out and haven't heard back....
