trees in wet area

I have several trees in very wet areas. Wondering if anyone know why few of the trees run really well and the others i dont get a thing from maybe a gallon all year long. Just wondering only my second season last year i made 17 gallons and was really happy so were the kids and my neighbors.

are they red maples? i have about 25 or so in a wet area and get the exact same results some run great and others not a bit. they are red maples though, which i think may be the issue.

they are both reds and sugar and it half and half that run
