Tapped 2/15 - 2/16. collected over 1000 gallons of sap still have 400 to boil from tuesday evening. Should have that taken care of tonight. Made 15 gallons of syrup. sap has poor sugar content. Hopefully things change toward the better. Seems very similar to last year

had some wind damage, another 4 hours work in the orchard. all back together. finally got some power last night so boiling was a bit easier. sap has been rather poor 1.4% and slow coming. Can't use vacuum on the loaners so I'll have to take what I get. would be good for a little colder nights and not as warm in the day. I'm at about 30 gals so far. hope all is well for the rest of you
