I bought a used filter press and it has no hoses. what are people using for hoses that are food grade and rated for the temps needed to run the syrup thru the press. Most of what I have seen the max temp is 175 or lower. I was looking at getting some milk tubing for transfer hoses and a feed line and was hoping to be able to use the same kind of hose for everything.
Thanks

I use 5/8 milk hose on my press. Works great, you just need to replace it every 4-5 years as it discolors.

I think Bascoms sells high temp hoses for filter presses that are designed to take the heat and should last for several years.

I use the clear plastic cotton reinforced stuff from HD it has lasted 6 years and is cheap. It will kink so I would think the milk house would work better. I do have 50ft of it but the other works just fine.

is the heat rating mostly for the pressure that the hose will hold or is that a temp at which it might start to melt or start leaching some bad stuff out of it?
