My bit is 3 years old which means its tapped 200 holes. Just put out my first 20 and it really seemed dull.
Are bits sharpenable? is that even a word? anyway you get the drift.

Definitely. If you don't feel adventurous or confident enough in trying it yourself check with the local sharpening services. You should be able to find someone.

Its fairly easy to do but check around in a few machine shops and see if they will do it for you instead. I had a guy once shapened all the bits backwards on me. I do have backwards drill bits also for screw extractors.

I have the Titainum coated bits that are about 2 1/2" long and after 5 years the coating is still on the leading edge so I wont allow anyone to touch them.
