For anyone out there that runs contiuous vacuum. Once you tap even if it's early do you normally start up vacuum at that time or wait for the weather?
I am curious if there are any effects on tap hole closure or lowing effects of the check valve adaptor if you wait or fire up right away.
The weather is on the bubble and would like to be as effective as possible.

I start mine when the sap starts to run and I don't shut it off.No need in starting it before though.

As long as a L/R pump is getting fluid, it can run a loooooooooooooong time!!

Nope, Mike don't worry about nothing except getting snow up to his crotch, of course if a 3 inch snow storm comes along he will be worrying then.
