sap filter

was wondering if anybody has every used a syrup prefilte as a sap filter. i did a test today with one and seamed to allow water to flow threw very well. maybe what in looking to do untill i can get the proper bag filter..

Maple Rookie they work rather well and I have used them in the past many times. You pretty much are just trying to catch the bugs and bark etc and they do that just fine.

good i think i will use these untill i make syrup to bring to bascoms. then a sap filter is on my list. thanks for the info

I use honey filters they look like a very heavy duty nylon stocking and clean up nice. they are the same size as the syrup prefilters.
