taps are in, Brooklyn

I put in 201 today 39F w/little wind, the taps were running good, still waiting on health spout adaters to show up hope to have the rest in by wed. I got the evap running and cleaned up yesterday, so now i sit and wait.

sap is running today high 43f finished tapping most trees today roughly 380 are in and now a few buckets for the kids to do on sat. I got to make another 25 drops for a new line i put up yesterday. cant wait to boil on sat, hoping to have atleast 250-300 gal by then, suppose to be 42f tom. but windy so we will see.

Hey was wondering if anyone is tapping in NE Pa or lower upstate NY?? I was planning on drilling tomorrow Friday 2-19-10.. Any thoughts???

picked up 200 gal of sap today from sun & mon runs, boiled down 170 of it today, i tried to boil it off before my wife went work but didnt make it,now i have to fire it back up tonite when she get back home to boil 30 gals. I made about 6 gals so far it was turning to med amber today but real tasty.

Picked up and boiled 140 gals of sap i have roughly 10 gal of syrup made, the taps werent running to good today, and with the wind forcasted for tom. i dont think they will run tom. later in the week is looking good though. its been a slow start so far.
