Will a normal size single turkey frier burner be large enough to use under a 15x15 stainless finish pan? I see the burners in the maple catalogs are the tube type instead of being circular like the turkey frier.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Heus, I have used a turkey fryer with a stock pot to finish for the past few years. This year I bought a 15x15 pan and feel the TF burner will do just fine. They put out a tremendous amount of BTU's. That is what I am going to use.

We used a standard turkey fryer burner to boil 20 gallons of water in an old propane tank and it worked just fine. I would think that you'll be able to boil syrup in a 15" X 15" finishing pan without any trouble at all.
