i have a few kegs with 2 inch bungs, in 15.5 gal and 7.75 gal too, but wanted something a bit smaller for the small batches of light in the early season that i like to save to bottle in glass later in the year. as i walked past the pile of stainless fire extinguisher housings in the back of one of our old pickup trucks i realized they would make great syrup storage! 300 series stainless and nice and smooth and rounded on the ends to drain and wash out easily. so i took and cut a 2 inch dia hole over the old threaded neck and tig welded on half of a stainless 2 inch coupling. i figure these should be handy, and were free, they calculate out to a bit over 3 gal capacity. just thought i would share this since it might be a good option especialy for some small producers

markct, are those threaded couplings and you have a 2" plug as well? Neat!

yup threaded 2 inch pipe couplings cut in half on the lathe with a parting tool, and use barrel bung plugs with food grade gaskets to seal them. i did the same to a few beer kegs last year
