I was trying to remember how much syrup on average do you get from a
single tap a year? from a sugar maple?

It is either 1 pint or 1 quart per tap a year (i think)

so if someone could give me an answer, that would be greatly apprecitated.

On average - one quart.

Probably a little more from big field or road side trees with big crowns and less from groves with small crowns.

with gravity and small crown woods trees w/ health spouts, it probably closer to 1 pint of product per season.

Averaged about a quart per tap on buckets. and approx 1 quart per tap on gravity tubing also. On a tight vacuum you should get 1/2 gallon per tap on good trees.

I've been getting a good quart per tap on my few trees for years.

Perry, I always look forward to your feedback and opinions. They seem in line with what I experience.

if you search this topic there are some good statistics for buckets vs gravity tubing vs vacuum. I asked the same question not too long ago. Got some great feed back.
