What do you guys use to lubricate your releaser parts?

A very light coating of sewing machine oil is what I use....I apply it and give a light wipe with paper towel to remove all excess.

You really want a food grade grease that is a light weight. You dont want it getting all globby and slowing down the rods. Best thing is to also wipe it clean before apply more so you dont get build up of dusty mud. The same grease you use on the filter press is good.

were do you guys get the food grade greese, for the filter presses? i see the pumps have greese fittings, but i dont know where to get the food grade stuff?

Have you got a supply store for meat packing or any kind of food prep around. I used to sell it back west and finally found it at the feed store in town. He sells maple equipment and it's in that area of the store. It's a little bit more money then regular grease.

I Work At A John Deere Dealership As Parts Salesman You Can Buy Synthetic Food Grade Grease In The A Tube That Will Fit A Regular Grease Gun The Part # Is Ty25744 It Will Probably Run You Around $8.00 Or $9.00 Works Great.

you would deffinly want to buy a new greese gun to, I dont think it would be to good using a old greese gun with regualr greese:lol: wouldnt be to food grade

If you only need a small amount of grease you can go to a SCUBA diving shop, both silicone grease and silicone spray (both food grade ) are commonly used to lubricate diving equipment.
