I juist read of a new surface disinfectant that contains no chlorine.
0.007M sodium dodecyl sulface (detergent),
0.08 M sodium hydroxide,
in 20 % n-propanol.
Said to be effective on prions, bacteria viruses. Seems to be quite mild compared to alternatives.
J. Gen. Virol. 2010, 91, 580.
Might be worth keeping track of.
