Hey Guys,
I need some fire bricks to line my arch. Any suggestions on cheap places to get fire brick new or used?
I've checked craigslist on a regular basis - I was gonna buy some from a guy who was selling them for less than a $1 each but someone else got to em before I had the chance.

bussell, I have used the red bricks for years and they hold up just fine for me. Just make sure they are the solid ones, not the ones with holes in them. Ginest should have some and don't be afraid to use seconds that are whole. Old used bricks are realy good for the arch and generally cheap. good luck

I'm not sure of the going price, but I do know that Gagne, in Saco sells them.

I just bought 70 this week for my new W. F. Mason 2x4 rig. $1.26 at Genest (several locations in Maine) is the current price, red or gray are available. Gagne quoted $2.14 at last check.
Good Luck
