gasket question

Well I put an additional 4ft of chimney on today giving me about a 6ft clearance then hooked up the evaporator . Now my question is I bought a pan gasket to go between top of arch and pan its about 1 inch thick . I cut an dput it in place but it seems rather thick to me is this correct?

I've always used 1/2 x 2" works well, 1" is a little thick but should work this season for you.

I used 1/2"X2" also. Maybe you can try to seperate it in half sometimes you can other times it will make a mess. If you can seperate it you will have enough to do it again in the future.

I use the 1" ceramic blanket and cut it into strips just like the pan gasket. Not going to get ripped of by the ridiculous prices the sugarin people want. :lol: :lol:
