Has anyone tried using a short chunk of 2" pvc for a sap bag holder? Was wondering about using a hose clamp to secure the bag and then drill a slotted hole for the tap.

If I understand your design you may have a problem with the bag rubbing against the tree and tearing. Would you use two hose clamps - one on each end of the 2" pipe?

If you can address the chafe issue, you may be on to something..
