I wired up the vac pump today to see if it would use the vac regulator correctly, It worked great , I even sucked out a bunch of water out of the lines (sap ladders must have worked good) I found a few small leaks at fittings around the releaser ... but I have a leak at athe float rod on the top of my electric releaser.. it's not much but it's there... is there a lubricant that you put on the rod as it slides up and down that holds the vacuum there???

Leaks at releaser all set now, you were right Kevin about the O ring,Thanks, it's actually on the float rod the goes to the switch on top of the releaser, it was hung up because it was worn, it is supposed to seal the rod thru the top of the releaser when the rod is in the down position... that fixed and re tighten a few fittings and good to go. this weekend I will flush the lines back thru and clean it all good to tap next tuesday!!! 8)
