Okay I give up what's the gizmo in the sap pan for. Takes about 20 minutes to load one of theses and I get bored and leave and come back and the pictures over.

I can reply to that in two languages 3rgen. I have the worlds slowest dial up here. Really frustrating when it comes to pictures and PDF files.

the box-thing in the center of the sap pan is where the cold sap enters the pan. There is a plug that allows you to pick which side of the pan the sap enters (for reversing flow).

Chris - Every project that is "next" on the list will be built in the summer. Somehow it never works out that way. Anyone can frame a shed and roof in September but it takes a real man to work on a steel roof in January! You gotta waaaaaaaaant it!
