I ordered a roll off gasket material to place between arch rails and the pan should this gasket be cemented to arch? I asked for cement but Bascoms said none was required?

The weight of the pans will keep it in place. Put a piece between the pans & on the front and back of the arch. But you all ready knew that.

Or if you want to glue it down you could use high temp silicone. It comes in a caulk tube. I think the brand is RPG or something like that. It is red. It is in hardware stores and sometimes used for woodstove gasket glue and repair. I find it near all the stovepipe and other wood stove supplies. I also used it around my chimney collar where rain would slide by the adjustment and down the stack into the building.
