Depends on what you want shop around all the web sites for 5/16 find best price they vary a little I got riigid just because it was a few$ cheaper. 3/4 mainline I got black poly 100psi for .18 a foot through FW Febb. and I don't have an acount with them if I did it would have been cheaper. if you get the blue stuff through ah who makes that leader, lapiere I forget I think its around .29 a foot I could be wrong but shop around and see what you can come up with.

Don't forget plastic is made with petroleum and fluctuates a lot. Call around some pricing maybe different if they bought a slug of tubing at a good price. My local dealer is still $10 a roll cheaper than a few larger supply houses.

OK, I'm all over that 3/4 price, even having it shipped here would be well below the $186/roll from my closest outlet. Does goodrich have a site I can order from?

I called GG a month or two ago and got a price of around $0.20/ft for 3/4" and that's with an account. I guess I don't buy enough to get the super duper discount. Or have prices come down that much?

Josh there is am FW webb in exeter and dover if you you feel like driving a bit The dover store is bigger they also have stainless pipe fittings at the dover store too. I am going to get an account with them as soon as I get the legal business stuff out of the way!!! But I would ask them if you get any kind of aggriculture discount they knocked off .02 a foot not much but for 1000 ft it still saved me 20 bucks.

We found at a contractor overstock store rolls of grey 3/4" "quest" water tubing. I think they use it in manufactured homes. The rolls are 200 feet and they want 10 bucks a roll. It's definatly the correct diameter, and the price is great. But will it work as well as the black 3/4" pipe? They have about 2k feet of it, and i would love to save the $$ if it will work.

i went into a sugar woods that was for sale years back that was all that grey water pipe. the sun gets after it and breaks it down and it cracks.the pipe was breaking as you touched it. does not hold up as well as black pipe.

How many seasons do you think it would take to do that? We plan on taking it down every season and storing it out of the sun. We dont' expect it to last too long, since we are expanding every year, two seasons would be enough to justify the cost.

It should last many years if it is only out a couple of months as those months are colder and the sun is not very strong and days are short.

Mayotte Maple Products in E. Fairfield, Vt. sells a lot of gray tubing that is made for Mayotte by Charter Plastic in Titusville, PA. Charter manufacturs a lot of the black plastic pipe you see sold around. You could call Dave Mayotte at 802-849-6810. He's a nice person to talk to and very helpful.

That tubeing would take more then two years to degrade and depending on the make of it maybe never. they make newer tubeing a lot better then the old stuff due to haveing to repalce a lot of the old tubeing in houses.

Speaking of tubing, I'm going to a tubing seminar at Goodrich's in Cabot this coming Saturday, just wondering if anybody else in this area might be going..

Anybody gotten recent prices on 1" mainline? I just called granite group and their price is $75.22 for a 300' roll ($0.25/ft) and F.W. Webb is $113 ($0.38/ft). Those prices seem kind of high. The price from Granite Group included a discount because I have an account there.

Bascom's is selling Lamb 1" mainline for $0.42/ft.

I found out that A.H. Harris carries wire ties in 1000 and 5000 piece rolls.

not stainless, just the same ones that bascom's sells. they are typically used for tieing rebar together. A.H. Harris is a construcion material supply company w/ outlet throughout the NE. not sure on price, but I will know next week when I pick up a box.

AG,
I went to my local plumbing supply in Nov and asked for the best cash price on 1" 100PSI black plastic. They called me back 3 days later with a price of 20 cents a foot. Mind you I ordered a minimum of 15000 feet (and upped the order to 21,000 at that price). It is crestline tubing. Maybe you can work with another producer and order a bunch. I kept the business in my hometown and got a deal. Can pick it up at a leisurely pace, don't have to haul it all at once. Tell 'em cash sale and it goes a long way.

Told them cash and Granite Group and Webb are both in the next town over. I'm only ordering 900' so it's not like I'm ordering a large amount and other producers I know of in the area are all set of their tubing. For those prices I think I'll order (2) 300' rolls and a 100' roll. I'll need to remeasure the distance, but I think it's only 630'

I bought a 400 ft. roll of 1 inch 2 days ago at Webbs and paid 21 cents a foot. 1 1/4 i only pay 32 cents a foot at webbs. You cant beat that price.

From most of the black I have seen, Crestline is better quality than the rest, at least what I have seen. Might be worth a couple more cents per foot as it has a pretty good warranty too to the best of my memory.

What PSI is it rated for? That tells you a lot. The 160PSI is for underground, the 100PSI is what our local dealer sells. Good durable product.

I ended up ordering it anyways from Granite Group. I wanted to make sure I had it in time for my work Christmas weekend. I paid a few bucks more, but I'll have it.
