I was flipping through the 09 Lapierre catalog and on pg 32 they have something the call a Vacuum Power Sap Piston Pump. serveral sizes, etc... looks like it can push/pump sap up to 132 ft in height at 340 gph with 60 psi. Do not need electricity to run.... I would be interested in the 66 ft lift , 300 gph, and 30 psi pump . says its needs 10cfm to run it. Is that 10cfm in addition to whatever you need based on tap count or 10cfm total from your vac pump?
Has anyone used one of these? I have a 130 tap bush that I could set up but it is 40-50 ft lower then the one I have now and probably 2000ft away. Far from electricity and not easy to get down to re-fuel, pump up from, etc.. Are these pumps set up "in-line" with the mainline or do they have to be in the tank at the bottom of the run?
thanks for the input...
