Somewhere around the end of last season, I started tinkering with this idea, then forgot about it. Now I want to get it up and running for this season.
Most television station's websites present their 7 day weather forecast as an image file, and they change it everyday. They don't change the name of the image file, though. What this means is that if I were to post one of those images here, like this:
http://images.ibsys.com/hart/images/weather/auto/7day_640x480.jpg
then whenever you came back here to look at this thread, you'd be seeing an updated 7 day forecast.
What I'd like to do is make a series of posts, say one for each state (and Canada!) that would post those images from the stations closest to our members. The goal would be to give members as much weather info as they might need all in one place.
If this is something you'd find useful, I've got the time to put it together. The only thing I'd need is for anyone interested to post the call letters of their local station (and its city and state), so I can start looking them up.
