We were really pleased to learn yesterday that our entry for Light Amber was selected as the Blue Ribbon winner! As Dave reminded me, we held this bottle out of a particularly good batch during bottling, saving it for the fair. I guess we got everything exactly right (at least once!)

On top of that happy result, we were chosen for the 2009 Minnesota Maple Syrup Producers Award. Must have been a great bottle of syrup. I wish I could have it back!

Thanks to partners Dave, Bob and Eldon for making this so much fun.

Now if we only had all of our wood split!

One quick question, how does maple syrup win the fruit syrup class?
